The IB1 combos are still valid in IB2, but only for Sword-and-Shield style fighting. Combos seem to be dependant on the weapon style you're using. For sword and shield it's like in IB1, listed on here already. For heavy weapons you basically just swipe twice in the same direction and then the direction that is displayed on screen. For dual swords I've only found one combo as of yet and that's left, right, left (or right, left, right), one you have started the combo you can just keep swiping in different directions and each swipe will also count as a combo swipe and do extra damage.I'd love to know if there are more combo intros for dual swords though, can't just be the one.
For Infinity Blade II on the iOS (iPhone/iPad), a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Gem Forge Information, All tested for me, come and read it!!' The highly anticipated sequel to one of the more impressive iOS titles, Infinity Blade 2 is a much deeper version of its predecessor. There’s a more profound storyline, more paths to choose, gems to upgrade your gear, and entirely different weapon trees.
I don’t remember any more what recipe TamL promoted, but I did a ton of research for the old forums on BC-1 when they were introduced in the game. I have more than 50 of them in my save. Devanagari font. The combos that are most effective (note none are 100%) are:1) One from this list: sell value 300K but not a max gemHigh level dual green attack gem 1000+High level dual red XP attack gemBreak Super Charge Gem (7%)Combo shield (green triangle gem) 20-22Bonus combo shield version 23I have successfully used other high value weapon specific gems but with less guaranteed success. Heavy is better than light and I never use the health weapon specific gems because for me, they often resulted in other max gems besides BC-1.2) Add two lower value gems (sell value at or below 40K each). Note the most successful recipes include at least one low value gem that is not for attack.
Examples:Titan Break -1Dragon stays longerDrop skill gem (the blue diamonds)Rare items hex gem (11% or so)Add gold% hex gemsDual Stab, Get 2xx healthIn this second category where you’re choosing two gems, the game likes seeing ‘offbeat’ gems in the mix as I suggested here. They can’t be completely garbage tiny value gems, but too much total value in the recipe = the game will give you titan break 500s or the Parry Damage 1000 default max gems. Both of these max gems are ranked higher in value than BC-1 so if you get the TL500 or Parry 1000 results instead, you’re using too much total sale value in your recipes. The game won’t tell you the sell value beyond 300K but they will sort in value order in the gem bag. What not to use:Health and Damage triangles are dangerous for fusing at any value because the game wants to make these recipes into Parry Damage triangle results. The only triangles I used are the Combo shield green versions.Round and square gems are never part of my successful recipes. Nor are the defense from elemental damage diamond gems. So I don’t recommend using them. It’s an art and a science but once you see results I think you’ll understand how to adjust to get the BC-1.
I have handwritten notes from hundreds of experiments during that time if you want pix, but this is the distilled lesson from my work.I’m happy to help if you want to share your results or talk further - good luck!. Oh no I actually haven’t been talking to anyone from back then in years, Josh was the last one I chatted with since after IB went cold, he and I found that we shared some interest in the tokusatsu genre. Elm was very helpful when I asked him for some teaching tips as I was starting my job at a school; we stopped chatting around the same time I and you did, at that point he was in Japan but I have no idea now.The other day I was trying to help a guy from another sub find an old delisted game and I came across my old backup.ipa of IB, so out of curiosity I looked up the IB subreddit. Quite a pleasant surprise to see the sub still get people asking for playing tips every week! Really sad that Epic decided to just purge everything IB, the books and the OST are one thing, but the forum had so many resources we helped making, what a waste. Are you talking about an IB discord? Is such thing still alive?
Understood, thanks for the context — I know a discord exists and I can post the info here later today. I am not a part of it but I think I signed up last year, and it was somewhat active (given the state of the game, as you said.)I agree, the forum community was so great & it was sad to see all of that disappear. Plus the information - potion recipes, gem forges, data on fights etc. Ah well, nothing is guaranteed but I’m glad I kept my journals to help with the BC-1 recipe lol.I’ll look up the Discord info & post here for you and anyone else who’d like to check it out:). So good to reconnect with you, Squashy!!.
