I want to throw out what I’m using right now to program my radios that happen to support digital programming interfaces, which happens to be the Baofeng UV-5R and Tonfa UV-985. 2011-6-15 I have a Yaesu FT-270R HT and a Yaesu FT-1900R mobile. I'd like to get programming software for both radios. My question is this: Is the software available through the manufacturer the same for both radios? The cables for the radios both come with software and I'm wondering if I could use one application for both radios.

VX-3 Programmer is not distributed for free and is only available on commercial basis. This is probably due to the fact that VX-3 Programmer is relatively new or current in the market. So, in order to support the creators and help them make improvements to the software, we should all repay their hard work.
Please refrain from trying to find free downloadable version of VX-3 Programmer, since it most likely will be an illegal pirated copy, which entails not only legal repercussions, but dangers of infecting your computer with malware often included in the files of illegal versions of software.
